Set on three lush acres in Colorado, Quatre Saisons is a reimagined Colonial estate where Studio D served as the creative lead for the architectural design, interior architecture/design, and landscape design.
What began as a renovation evolved into a full new construction, ultimately yielding nearly 20,000 square feet of luxury residential design that seamlessly blends timeless tradition with contemporary elegance. From the outset, Studio D was the driving force behind every detail - reimagining the home’s footprint, curating the interiors, and shaping the grounds to create a cohesive, estate-level experience. The architecture bridges Italian Brutalist influences with classical symmetry, establishing a dialogue that is both modern and enduring. Once defined by red brick and Colonial columns, the home now features a striking reinterpretation in Roman Travertine, all while maintaining a respectful connection to its lineage.
The name Quatre Saisons - French for “Four Seasons” - carries a dual meaning. It references the French marble used extensively throughout the residence while also evoking the refined experience of a five-star resort. This ethos of hospitality-inspired design is reflected in the home’s flow: formal entertaining spaces extend effortlessly onto manicured lawns framed by hedges of hydrangea, while casual living is celebrated in a dramatic solarium with 20-foot glass doors that dissolve the boundary between indoors and out.
Elevating Colorado’s interior design narrative, Studio D layered thoughtful details throughout the estate: a Moroccan tile plunge pool, an Italian countryside–inspired gravel drive, a 17th-century tapestry, and final accessory touches that complete the composition, while vintage furnishings and rare lighting sourced from Paris and Italy imbue the home with authentic European heritage.
The landscape architecture, also led by Studio D, reinforces this resort-like sensibility, with lush gardens, a pool house, and a guest suite creating a property that functions as both a private retreat and a destination for luxury entertaining. Central to Quatre Saisons’ success was the collaboration with the core and shell architect, landscape designer, industry partners, and master craftsmen, whose combined expertise ensures a seamless integration of architecture, interiors, and landscape. Every element embodies Studio D’s artistry and vision—rooted in tradition yet alive with modern vitality—culminating in a residence that is a true showcase of Colorado’s high-end residential architecture and design.
